Branding, Visual Identity, Visual Standards... what does it all mean, and what does it mean to you?
As a member of the TCC family, at whatever level or function, you are exposed to and affected by TCC’s “Brand”, “Visual Identity” and “Visual Standards” every day. When you walk past a banner showing registration dates and times, look at a directional sign, pick up a campus map or event flyer, peruse a program brochure or get an invitation to a college event, you are touched by all three. The TCC logo, colors, typefaces, graphic design and other visual elements are all a part of what makes TCC unique as an institution of learning.
The Office of Visual Communications has created a series of tutorials to help you better understand and utilize TCC’s Visual Identity and Standards. Whether you are requesting a project to be developed and printed by our department, or, especially, if you are planning to create a project on your own, it is important that you understand these elements and why they are vital to TCC’s overall Brand.
