The Writing Center provides TCC students with one-on-one tutoring to become better writers. Our friendly and dedicated staff of tutors and instructors are eager to assist you through all steps of the writing process.

Please plan to visit the Writing Center well in advance of the due date of your assignment. To schedule an appointment, please call or stop by the Writing Center (room A113).

Tutoring

Writing assistance is available for all courses. Tutoring sessions are limited to thirty minutes. To reschedule or cancel a tutoring session, please notify the Writing Centerís staff within 24 hours of your appointment.

A trained tutor will discuss steps of the writing process with you. Come prepared to discuss your area (s) of concern and to have your question (s) answered. If you are working on a particular assignment, give your tutor handouts that explain the requirements of the assignment.

The Writing Centerís staff will not edit your entire paper, but we will review areas of concern and provide feedback to improve your writing. We will discuss steps of improving sentence structure and mechanics to ultimately help you become a better writer.
