Blackboard Notifications

Blackboard may experience regular maintenance outages between midnight and 4:00 a.m. on Thursday mornings. We appreciate your cooperation and patience during service interruptions.

Spring 2018

March 2, 2018

Blackboard Learn will be unavailable on Saturday, March 10, 2018, from 6 AM to 8 AM in order to apply critical database patches. 



Fall 2017

According to VCCS, Blackboard Collaborate users are experiencing intermittent issues that affect the launching of Collaborate Classic and Collaborate Ultra sessions. Collaborate Ultra users may see A01, A02, A03, A04 or 500 errors. If affected, please try to reload your session. Collaborate DevOps is actively working to identify the root cause and find a resolution.

UPDATE: As of 3:00 PM, an emergency hotfix has been deployed to address the Collaborate Ultra session connection errors. Collaborate Classic and Collaborate Ultra sessions should now be launching successfully.

According to VCCS, Blackboard Learn's Partner Cloud is unresponsive as of 9:00 am and an emergency ticket has been filed with Blackboard Inc.

UPDATE: According to VCCS, Blackboard Learn's Partner Cloud connection issue has been resolved.

September 26, 2017

As of 9:30am, Blackboard Learn is currently slow and occasionally non-responsive. Engineers are investigating.

September 14, 2017

Blackboard Learn was slow and intermittently unavailable from approximately 10:50 am to 11:10 am this morning.

​Engineers continue to work with Blackboad support to improve performance.

9:15 AM: There is a VCCS system-wide problem that is causing Blackboard users to experience slow or no response when navigating course sites.

TCC was the first VCCS member to notify the system office regarding the problem, and its resolution has been given the highest priority.  We’ll send updates as information becomes available.
