*Processing Time:
may be longer during peak periods (beginning/end of semester, graduation); campus closures; holidays. Additional processing time should be allowed for students who have not attended in 10 or more years.

Overnight Service:
available for students who have been taken courses at TCC within the previous 10 years. Overnight service may not be available during college closures (weekends, official college closures).

**Special Requests and Destinations: Students must e-mail registrar@tcc.edu to notify the office after the request has been entered into Parchment. Additionally, students with transcripts going to the following destinations will need to include the complete mailing address in the e-mail:

  • Old Dominion University Career Switcher Program
  • School Systems

How do I obtain an official transcript?

You will need to order your official transcript through Parchment by clicking here

Do I have to pay?

  • Electronic Transcripts:
    First copy is free. Additional Copies are $3.00 each.

  • Paper Transcripts:
    First copy is $2.00. Additional copies are $5.00 each.

  • Overnight Service: $30.00
    The following receivers do not allow electronic transcripts and cannot be sent Overnight:

    • Virginia Boards located at 9960 Mayland Drive, Henrico, VA 23233
    • Virginia Department of Education

How long will it take to process a transcript?

Transcripts are typically processed within five (5) business days. Additional time should be allowed for requests of student records when the last date of attendance was ten (10) or more years ago, or requests that are made during peak periods and college closures.

What if I have a form that needs to be attached with the transcript?

The student must submit his/her transcript request through Parchment, and then email/scan the form to registrar@tcc.edu, or fax the form to 757-822-1955. The student may also mail the form to Tidewater Community College, Office of the College Registrar, P.O. Box 9000, Norfolk, VA 23509. We will then mail the form and transcript locally from our office in a TCC envelope.

If the transcript is going back to the student's home address or a school system the student must e-mail the Office of the College Registrar at registrar@tcc.edu.

These transcripts cannot be sent Overnight.

What if I need to submit a transcript to the Department of Education?

  • Transcripts for the following destinations:

    • Department of Education
    • Old Dominion Career Switcher Program
    • School Systems

    The student must e-mail the Office of the College Registrar at registrar@tcc.edu to notify the office after the request has been entered into Parchment.

  • The student must submit his or her transcript request through Parchment, and we will mail the transcript locally from our office in a TCC envelope.

  • Transcripts with forms that need to be attached cannot be sent Overnight.

How do I cancel a request through Parchment?

To cancel a request through Parchment, you will need to Contact Parchment and submit a help ticket and inform them that you would like to cancel your request.
